Today at Mitera IVF a case of azoospermia was successfully treated.
After several semen analyses where no motile sperm were found and a series of hormone tests, which allowed some optimism, testicular sperm extraction was performed.
Through a small incision we excised small samples of testicular tissue; from these the embryologist isolated and froze five vials that contained the required genetic material, so that the couple could proceed directly to IVF.
